Houses with twins: the true story of mom

Amazing story of amazing mom. Want to laugh heartily? Read the story of the same mother

I was discharged from the maternity hospital on the 2nd day. If I knew what kind of floods awaited me at home, I would have broken my arm and leg, and perhaps my nose, to lie down in the hospital longer.

In the maternity hospital, I liked everything, starting with food and ending with the fact that there I was carefully washed with a mop, like I was a Mercedes. Housesthey waited for mehungry fish in an aquarium, moderately well-fed cats, an uncollected harvest of watermelons in a farm game and 2 screaming bags that I brought with me from the maternity hospital.

Probably the longest dream my husband and I had on the first night at home, because we arranged a radio nanny, put the children to sleep in their cots in their room, and they themselves laid down in their bedroom. Well, we didn’t know that the radio nanny would have batteries and sleep for 3 hours, waking up from the hellish calls from the nursery. After this nightmy husband and I moved to the nursery.

The children woke up, I fed one while the husband changed the diaper to the second, then we changed the children, I fed the second, then the first again, because it seemed to us that he was underweight. At that time, the second one fell asleep, but woke up exactly when the first one finished eating, and I had to feed him again. The first 3 months it seemed to me that this mutual responsibility would never end. Whereinwe kept a journalwhere they recorded by time, who slept, ate, peed and poked. We started keeping a journal after we mixed up the children and fed the same thing twice, and the second was left hungry. After this incident, we painted a nail on one leg for one child, but then we really forgot who we painted. Then we put plasters on their chest with names.

I guess I was lucky because I was very helpful andhelps husband. I do not understand how to cope with the child at home alone. Even if it is not twins, but one child. The first 4 months to usmother-in-law helped- she cooked food because I didn’t have time even to go to the toilet. Going to the shower was a holiday for me. And this is despite the fact that we took a day nurse when the children were one and a half months old. Even if I left the store for a second, I was afraid that a truck would get me down now, they would not be able to find my Rh-negative blood in the hospital, and my children would be left without food. BecauseI felt like a meal. And I felt sorry for myself, and I cried a lot.

Somewhere in the 5th month of the baby, the husband decided to show me to a specialist, and I was diagnosed with postpartum depression. I liked the diagnosis, and I really wanted to hide behind them, to stop breastfeeding the children and go on artificial feeding, but reading the “Lalek” community convinced me that I was selfish and that I needed to be fed further.

In truth, with each passing month it became easier and easier for me, because you get used to sleep deprivation. When the children were 5 months old, I went to work. I continued to feed them at night and in the morning, and at work I decanted and brought milk in the evening, so that the next day the nurse would feed him. I do not know why, but I had a lot of milk, I’m not afraid of that word. This went on for up to 7.5 months. Then they stopped eating themselves at night, probably because we started giving them porridge in the evening. And I gradually curtailed breastfeeding.

I thought that everything, finally I now sleep. FIG. They have becometo cut teeth. And at night they slept, waking up to poorat every hour and never at the same time.We had to go into the room, take it in our hands, swing it, calm it down and lay it down again. And so on 24 times per night (12 per person on average). We tried to sleep together, but it did not work out for me because I slept lightly, and all the time it seemed to me that one of the children fell to the floor. One night, my husband found me crawling on all fours on the floor and looking for children, although at the same time they slept quietly in their beds.

Now minechildren almost 2 years. They still don't sleep well, because not all the teeth have got out yet, but we are used to it. We have our own system (for a child per person), thanks to which we have become betterdresssleep. From the good I can say. Kids are great.

Nothing can compare with the feeling when your baby in the park runs towards you with a cry of "papaaa" (and you are a mother) with something clamped in a small fist. He unclenches his fist, and in it is a dry dog poo. And he smiles with his mouth with sparse teeth, and he is proud to have brought you a piece of shit. And yes, this is happiness.
