Tragedies pass, tears dry up, but along with pain and bad memories we must not forget those who helped prevent a more terrible disaster. This video was shot about a month ago, when a wave of refugees hit Europe. Turkish fishermen rescued a one and a half year old baby from a family of refugees who sailed to Europe in the Aegean Sea.
The incident occurred near the city of Kusadasi in the west of the country. The frame shows how people pull a boy out of the water in a life jacket.
At first, the child did not show signs of life, but the captain of the boat did not leave attempts to reanimate him. As a result, the baby managed to pump out, and his mother was saved. They were handed over to the Coast Guard.
As it turned out, the child and the woman, along with other migrants, tried to reach the shore by boat, but she sank. According to the Turkish rescuers, as a result of the disaster, two people died, another 16 are considered missing.
